Photo gallery and basic facts. Bobcats have a short tail and pointed ears with tuffs on the end. Their coat varies from tan to reddishbrown with small dark spots and blotches. They have long hairs on the face like sideburns. Adult bobcats are 30 to 45 inches 76 114 cm long counting the tail. Males weigh approximately 24 pounds. Females weigh about 16 pounds.
